lol, tmi questions deserve tmi answers-
I was really swollen after my delivery, and the nurse at the hospital had the best invention ever.
have you tried a padsicle? pour a lil water on a pad, put it in a bag, and freeze it. five stars for sure.
everyone heals differently, so no-one can really answer that for you- I still have unhealed stitches, and my son is 3 months old!
seriously try the padsicle at least once.

Everyone is very different.
I had an episiotomy and it took 8 weeks for it to heal completely and if i over did it i would be in a lot of pain but i had no vaginal swelling and if i did it only lasted a day or 2.
Dont wear jeans and continue to do the sitz baths those really helped me and RELAX...i know that as soon as i lost my bump and knew i could do things more freely after my lil guy came out i wanted to go for walks and to malls and everything...big mistake.

I was sore and taking pain medication for a week, and was completely healed in about a month. Ice packs really helped me A LOT, they numb and reduce swelling. I slept with one. You can put ice in a latex glove or rip the diaper lining and put ice in there, that way it will absorb any lochia bleeding as well. It will end soon! Good luck!

The pain & swelling for me was really bad for the first week and 1/2 or so, but I was still uncomfortable for several weeks afterwards. If you feel like the pain is unbearable, or you are concerned about it, you should give your ob/gyn a call. Feel better, and congrats!

everyone is different but for me the swelling went down in about a week, the pain was only bad when I overdid it and didn't rest as much as I should have. But that only lasted a week an a half.
